Tribute to the memory of the great writer

    October 17 is the day when the poet, writer and social worker Avetik Isahakyan died. On this occasion the administration of the City Central Library after A. Isahakyan, students of the high school № 16 after Isahakyan together with their teachers and the staff of the Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of RA visited Komitas Pantheon to pay their tribute to the memory of the great writer.
The grandson of the writer, professor of Philological Sciences Avik Isahakyan delivered a speech and he was followed by many others, among them the president of the Writers’ Union of Armenia, Honored Worker of the Culture of RA Edvard Militonyan, director of the home-museum of Avetik Isahakyan Angelika Khorenyan, the director of City Central library after A. Isahakyan and an Honored Worker of the Culture of RA Hasmik Karapetyan and others.
