Librarian Day

    The morning of October 7 was unusual for Isahakyan librarians. At the entrance the staff got autumn colorful flowers. In the City Central Library after Av.Isahakyan the day was festive. From the early morning in the screen of the foyer, there was a video about librarians, which presented the daily life of the library. In the hall of the library it was organized an exhibition titled "The creation of librarians", where it was introduced the works of American Corner Yerevan's librarian Anna Margaryan's works and the works of the librarian of the department of Public Relations and Events Yeranuhi Hovsepyan.
The director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan greeted to the friends of the library saying that each of them was a part of the history of our library. Besides being cultural and information center, the library is a home. Hasmik Karapetyan gave awards to the friends of the library Tigran Martirosyan, Margarit Khachatryan, Hovsep Nalbandyan, Anya Khachikyan, Zara Mkhikyan, Tigran Petrosyanc, Argam Ayvazyan, Suren Hayrapetyan, Henrik Bakhchinyan, Sergey Galstyan, Aida Khachikyan, Petros Markosyan, Hayastan Karapetyan,Tatevik Shtikyan,Luisa Ghazaryan, Robert Makaryan,Anahit Topchyan, Alexander Topchyan,Lilia Ohanjanyan, Mary Khachatryan, Gurgen Ter-Avagyan,Hasmik Gulakyan,Artur Martirosyan, Levon Azroyan Arthur Andranikyan,VivaCell company, Astghik Sahakyan, Gazprom company, "Iravunk" newspaper for having their investment in the replenishment of library fund. In the Isahakyan garden and foyer there are many books which were available for all readers and visitors. The next event was the book's presentation of Anatoli Hovhannisyan titled "French Letters". Composer Tigran Mansuryan; Doctor of philological sciences, professor David Gasparyan;poet, painter, president of the Writers' Union of Armenia, Honored Worker of Culture of Armenia Edward Militonyan;literary critic Karo Vardanyan;an actor of Drama Theater of Yerevan City Hall after Hrachya Ghaplanyan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Karapetyan; literary critic Nerses Atabekyan spoke about the books and creative activities of the author.Honoured Artist Silva Yuzbashyan and actress Gayane Samvelyan read author's creations.During the next event,which was also dedicated to the Librarian Day, an actor of Drama Theater of Yerevan City Hall after Hrachya Ghaplanyan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Karapetyan greeted and congratulated librarians and guests.At the end of the day the employees got presents from the director.
