Presenting "Akhtala"

    On May 17, 2016 historian, writer, public speaker Vahe' Lorents presented his new book "Akhtala" at the Yerevan City Central library after Av. Isahakian. The presentation was opened by actress, reciter Gayane' Samvelyan. A report on the book was presented by Mr. Lorents. He said that the book is the first volume of series "Tir-Ar Guides". It speaks about Town Akhtala, Lory region, about its history, monuments and monasteries. The book is meant for guides as well as tourists. "Here is our motto: guides are not only service workers but also "councils" of our land and our culture. This is the principle, based on which we show foreign guests our values". The author was greeted by businessman Artur Ghazinyan. Musical numbers were performed by Arsen Hmabarian and gusan Haikazoon. In his closing speech the author mentioned that his next book will be about Haghpat.
