“The Best Reader of the Year” and “The School with Most Readers”

    On March 29, 2016 in the framework of “Children’s Literature and Music Week” the Yerevan City Central Library announced the winners of annual competitions “The Best Reader of the Year” and “The School with Most Readers”. The best readers of 2015 were the 5th grade student of school № 56 after Stepan Zoryan and reader of the 29th library brunch Ishkhan Baghdasaryan, the 12th grade student of school № 2 and reader of technical literature library brunch Mariam Baghdasaryan, the 6th grade student of school № 55 after A. Chekhov and reader of the 21st library brunch Vahan Tadevosyan, the 2nd grade student of school № 153 after R. Ishkhanyan and reader of the 33rd library brunch Emma Mkhitaryan, the 8th grade student of school № 118 after A. Yerznkyan and reader of the 33rd library brunch Artur Minasyan, the 3rd grade student of “Olimpos” lyceum and reader of the 27th library brunch Rafael Galstyan, the 5th grade student of school №6 after H. Karapents and reader of the 36th library brunch Shoushanna Gevorgyan, the 7th grade student of school №4 after L. Shant and reader of the 15th library brunch Flora Mouradyan, the 3rd grade student of school №82 and reader of the 28th library brunch Iren Gevorgyan, the 4th grade student of school №5 and reader of the Art Literature library brunch after G. G. Byron Lilit Yedigaryan, the 5th grade student of school №71 after N. Stepanyan and reader of the Children’s Department of the YCCL Anry Abrahamyan. The Deputy Director of the YCCL Ruzanna Barseghyan, writer Liparit Sargsyan, writer Nune’ Grigoryan, the Deputy Director of the YCCL Karine’ Mehrabyan congratulated the winners and presented them with books. The winners in the category “The School with Most Readers” were school №114 after Kh. Dashtencts (headmaster Ruzanna Kostanyan), school №51 after V. Kostanyan (headmaster Alisa Khazaryan), school №194 after A. Hovhannisian (headmaster Nune’ Manukyan) of the first, second and third places respectively. The representative of school №51, Armenian Language and Literature teacher Nelly Afrikyan and the representative of school №194, headmaster of the school Nune’ Manukyan were deeply moved and thanked the library for the big honor.
