Hamastegh’s 120th Birthday Anniversary

    On October 15, 2015 the YCCL was celebrating the 120th birthday anniversary of great Armenian writer Hamastegh/ Hambardzum Keleyan/. A big group of cultural workers was there to feel the Armenian soul and as the host and speaker of the event PhD of Philologiacal Sciences Margarit Khachatryan described it, “to get hamasteghized” , because “there is a Hamastgh in each Armenian”-she stated. During the event some extracts from writer’s book ”The Piper of Armenian Highlands” were read by reciter Kamo Ter-Petrosyan. Speeches were made by Philologist Gohar Petrosyan, writer, pedagogue Tiruhi Margaryan-Karapetyan, writer, journalist Hrachia Matevosian.Singer Arsen Hambaryan greeted the audience with his song, poet, writer Hasmik Ajamyan with a poem.
After warm farewell the audience was presented with books.
