Movie Screening: “Nakhijevan: The Lost Motherland” and “Solo of Reedpipe”

    On May 20, 2015 YCCL organized the screening of the documental films “Nakhijevan: The Lost Motherland” and “Solo of Reedpipe” by director Khachatour Margaryan. Some opinions on the films were expressed by Vice President of “Nakhijevan” Patriotic Union Sergey Davtian, Commander of Nagorna-Karabakh War, President of “Azatagroom” NGO, Colonel Markos Melkonian, screenwriter Anahit Arpen, close friend of the director Manvel Poghosian and others. The speechmakers talked about the hard work of Mr. Margaryan and about its great result. After speaking about the films, Mr. Markos Melkonian thanked the YCCL for ethical and aesthetic role it plays in the upbringing of the new generation and presented the Head of the Library Hasmik Karapetian with “Azatagroom” NGO’s Diploma. Azatagroom” NGO’s Certificates were presented to Deputy Director of the YCCL Ruzanna Barseghyan and “Public Relations and Event Organising” Department Coordinator Marine’ Ghazarian. The host of the event, actress Gayane’ Samvelian passed the speech to Mr. Margarian himself, who told the audience about the films, after which they were screened.
