Presentation and discussion of the book “Aram Haykaz: Forgotten Pages” Volume 5


    On April 21, 2015 the presentation and discussion of the book “Aram Haykaz: Forgotten Pages” volume 5 took place in the YCCL. The book contains stories, articles and archive materials of remarkable writer of Armenian Diaspora Aram Haykaz. The book was presented by the binder and note-maker of the book, Doctor of Philological Sciences Margarita Khachatryan. Speeches were made by the editor of the book, historian Gevorg Yaztjyan, writer, public speaker Hrachia Matevosian (Hracho), Doctor of Philological Sciences, freedom fighter Vardan Devrikyan, literary critic, translator, teacher, social worker Margar Sharabkhanyan, Armenian language teacher Tiranuhi Margaryan-Karapetian, doctor, reciter Kamo Der-Petrosian, literary critic, Doctor of Philological Sciences, the head of “Hayastan” publishing house Vahagn Sargsyan. The speechmakers mentioned how important it was to acquaint the public to this writer, especially now, when Armenian nation is commemorating the victims of Armenian genocide as his works provide us with important national lessons, bring awareness that was forgotten for many years. But it is time to understand that without past there is no future. At the end of the event Margarita Khachatryan mentioned that the 6th and 7th volumes of the book will be published soon.
