A Meeting with Manik Achemian


    On April 16, 2015 the guests of the YCCL were writer Manik Atchemyan's readers and friends. In one word people, who appreciate every line of her works in the concept of occasion, who lean on her poetry in difficult times and get inspired by it in hour of happiness. The headline of the evening was “The Future Is A Dream - Inseparable From Memory and From Its Identity” and it was devoted to the 60th birthday anniversary of poetess. Yes, the reader is contemporary to the writer. In face of the time the writer is contemporary to the reader. She counts on this credo in her hopeless hour and it helps her to writer, to work, to create. Maybe this is the reason that the reader believes in her and trusts her. The guests of Manik Achemian’s celebration were Norq St. Merriam church officiating priest father Tovma Andreasian, the principle of school number 35 after Gogol Asatour Saryan, the executive publisher of the “Yeter” weekly Gayane' Yengoyan, vice head of Urartu University Anahit Nersisyan, who gave Manik Atchemian the address of the university. The writer was greeted by the students of school after Khrimyan Hayrik. Actress Gayane’ Samvelian presented some poems from the books “Color and Dream”, “Love and Song For Me”, “Summer Sunday”. Library-the home of the reader and creator always provides interesting meetings. The hostess of this house is the head of the library, Honorary Worker of Culture Hasmik Karapetian and the stuff is always in assist to the exited guest.
