80th Birthday Anniversary of Liudmila Motalova


    On April 13, 2015 in the frame of the program “National Library Week” at the 33th library branch of the YCCL CNCO after L. Motalova an event devoted to the 80th birthday anniversary of Czech armenologist and translator Liudmila Motalova took place. The Deputy director of YCCL Ruzanna Barseghyan opened the event with her speech. She was followed by movie director Juliette Kajhoyan, the director of the MEMORIAL COMPLEX OF SARDARAPAT BATTLE, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ARMENIAN ETHNOGRAPHY AND HISTORY OF LIBERAL STRUGGLE Karen Aristakesyan, writer Razmik Davoyan, the director of the MUSEUM OF HISTORY OF MUSALER BATTLE AND ETHNOGRAPHY OF ARMENIANS OF MUSALER, writer, translator David Sargsyan, writer Liparit Sargsyan, reader Serjan Hovsepian. Each of the guests spoke about the importance of Motalova’s work. She was in love with Armenian language and Armenians and was our real friend. By translating the greats of our nation she made them famous and loved in her country too. The host of the event actress, recitor Gayane’ Samvelian presented some interesting facts about her life and her work. At the end of the event a movie made by Juliet Kajoyan and devoted to Liudmila Motalova was screened.
