“The Final Round of the Competition Learning about Armenia –From Hayk Nahabed to Artsakh”


    On March 11, 2015 the final round of the competition “Learning about Armenia –From Hayk Nahabed to Artsakh” took place in the Yerevan City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan. The competition was hosted by actress, recite Gayaneh Samvelian. The competitors were team “Improviz” from Shengavit community 32nd library branch, team “Anmoruk” from technical literature department, team “Mesrop Mashtots” from Art Literature department after G. G. Bayron and team “Urartu” from 28th library branch. The head of the jury was the Deputy Director of the YCCL Ruzanna Barseghyan. The members of the jury were writer Liparit Sargsyan, film critic Sergei Galstian and the head of Public Relations and Event Organizing department Marineh Ghazarian. The competitors were given questions about Armenian language, literature and history. Each of the teams was doing its best to be the first and to show their knowledge. But in the end the winner was the team “Improviz” from Shengavit community 32nd library branch. The winners were presented by Verjine' Svazlyan's “Armenian Genocide: Testimonies of the Eyewitness Survivors” book and Diploma. The other teams received certificates for participation. The director of the 32nd library Susanna Khachatryan thanked the directorate of the library for organizing such an interesting game for the children. She congratulated the winners but stated that in this case there are no winners and losers as each of them gained more knowledge about Armenian history and culture and understood the importance of working in a team.
