About Us


    The department of art implements cultural function. It organizes library information for population of Yerevan. The services of the department are: illustration of science and culture, distribution of Science and Technical knowledge, aesthetic education, supporting of function of educational system, usage of books and magazines, and other useful subjects which are included in fund of library. Illustration and distribution of politics, Armenian and world-wide literature, history, culture, and other valuable subjects, improvement of professional skills. It implements permanent complementation of library fund. Gradually it is turned into processes of automation of library functions. The creation of electronic directory is in process. The majority of readers’ are the students from Yerevan State University, Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, Yrevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema, Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, Yrevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov, including school children. The library fund of art department is classified by alphabetical and sectional schedule. Besides it exists a catalogue titled “In the beauty world”. The department uses the interlibrary services of the CCL in order to attend to readers and to lessen the denial. It keeps its connection with cultural organizations. The department takes part in events which is organized in CCL. (game-competition, meetings, matinee).The best reader of the department is awarded with the nomination titled ” The best reader of the year”.
