On February 15, in the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, within the frame of the project "Intercultural bridges" it took place a ceremony dedicated to Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia.The ceremony was conducted by Honorary Consul of Serbia in Yerevan Babken Simonyan. He is a writer of 10 books, more than 800 articles, translations and reviews. His works have been translated into Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Estonian, Italian, Hungarian, French and English. Babken Simonyan has won various prizes and awards for his literary and cultural activities. Public, political figure Sargis Hatspanyan, historian Gevorg Yazchyan, Chair of the Board of "Karen Demirchyan" benevolent foundation Rima Demirchyan.,Serbian journalist Gordana Krstich, readers, literary and cultural figures were among the guests. The guests enjoyed Serbian music, as well as Babken Simonyan's poems from the series of "Serbian bells" which was read by actress Gayane Samvelyan.
Concluding the ceremony Babken Simonyan thanked the audience and read Yeghishe Charents' "I love my sweet Armenia" , which he has translated into Serbian.
