A memorial afternoon devoted to landscape artist, ceramist David Sargsyan


    On December 14, 2016, in the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan took hosed a memorial afternoon devoted to landscape artist, ceramist David Sargsyan and the presentation of his graphic book “Dreamy World” (The book was compiled by journalist, movie critic Sergei Galstyan). Friends, relatives, artists, cultural workers and readers were taking part in memorial afternoon.The hall was full of the spirit of Davit Sargsyan.
"The exhibition is titled "Dreamy World". Indeed, David's world is diverse and multifaceted. A series of works are created in a unique style.(Landscapes, Ararat, still life)."

Before starting the event, the participants watched a film about David's personal exhibition which took place in July 2015.The painter mainly painted with oil on canvas, pastel, and in recent years with acrylic.You can find his works mainly in Yerevan, Russia, Japan, US, Israel and France.
During his speech poet, painter, translator, president of "Armenian Culture Fund" Arevshat Avagyan mentioned that during his whole life David Sargsyan had created works of art, which allow to speak and evaluate his art .Poet, novelist, children's writer Liparit Sargsyan, Lusine Khachatryan, actors Stepan Shahinyan, George Hovakimyan and others spoke about the author too.Singer and songwriter Arsen Hambaryan welcomed the participants with musical performances.
Concluding the presentation Sergey Galstyan said that his granddaughter Mane Arshaluysyan had a great effort in this work.At the end he said that Gayane Samvelyan would read Davit Sargsyan's favourite poem by Hovhannes Tumanyan titled "Smiling Eyes".
