On May 31 was the presentation of writer of Armenian diaspora Hamastegh’s book “Aghotaran”. The book was republished as a separate book to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first edition. The book was first published in Beirut in 1957. Later in 2005 it was published as a part of “Hamastegh; Forgotten Pages” book in Yerevan. Due to its popularity it was reedited and republished as a separate book. Many readers, literary critics, artists and TV journalists were present at the event. The opening speech was delivered by the “Teacher of the Year” of 1993 and PhD of Philological sciences Margaret Khachatryan. “Hamastegh started his literary career with the inquiry of God-human relations and in “Aghotaran” he already summarized his life experience and worldview. “Aghotaran” is Hamastegh’s autobiography with the sincerity of a diary. Hamastegh opens up the infinity of the universe to the human”- Margaret Khachatryan mentioned in her speech. Later on the participants enjoyed excerpts from “Aghotaran” read by doctor and professor of Western Armenian literature Kamo Ter-Petrosyan. Poet, writer and translator Gohar Galstyan congratulated the author on the publishing of the book “Aghotaran”. Summing up the event Margaret Khachatryan expressed her gratitude to historian Gevorg Yazchian under whose support and patronage the book was published.
