Event entitled "Armenian-Lithuanian literary ties"


    The City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan and the Fridtjof Nansen Museum in Yerevan organized an event entitled "Armenian-Lithuanian Literary Ties" .The director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan made an opening speech and spoke about Armenian-Lithuanian historical, literary-cultural ties.Hasmik Karapetyan expressed gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Inga Stanite-Tolochkiene and Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Gayane Melkom Melkomyan for their honorable participation in this important event.
She especially emphasized the great contribution of the director of the Fridtjof Nansen Museum Felix Bakhchinyan to the strengthening of the Armenian-Lithuanian literary ties, and expressed her deep gratitude for the fruitful long-term cooperation with the library.During her speech the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Inga Stanite-Tolochkiene highly appreciated the centuries-old friendship of the Armenian-Lithuanian peoples and thanked for the warm and beautiful event.
Literary critic, translator, President of the Fridtjof Nansen Foundation ,the director of the Fridtjof Nansen Museum Felix Bakhchinyan presented the history of the Armenian-Lithuanian literary-cultural cooperation. Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor Sergo Yeritsyan, poet, translator Gagik Davtyan used the Armenian-Lithuanian literary-cultural-historical cooperation and its further expansion.
Actress Gayane Samvelyan, reciter Aida Asaturyan, candidate of philological sciences Nadya Antonyan and Hripsime Mardoyan read poetry samples from Lithuanian literature. The readers of the library and guests enjoyed the "Vilnius" video with great pleasure and the exhibition of Lithuanian literature. The ceremony was hosted by Gayane Samvelyan.
