On June 10, at 15:00 pm, Fridtjof Nansen Museum of Yerevan and the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan organized an event entitled ""Nansen in Armenian"" dedicated to the 160th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansen.The event was opened by the director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan.Hasmik Karapetyan empasized the warm attitude of the Norwegian explorer, scientist, writer, diplomat and prominent humanist Fridtjof Nansen towards Armenia. A literary critic, translator, President of the "Fridtjof Nansen" Foundation of Armenia, Director of the "Fridtjof Nansen" Museum Felix Bakhchinyan spoke iabout Fridtjof Nansen's rich humanitarian biography.
He emphasized the exceptional gratitude of Armenia and the Armenian people to Fridtjof Nansen.Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, President of the "Lorva Dzor" Patriotic Union Sergo Yeritsyan, Poet Andranik Hakobyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Argam Ayvazyan, Candidate of Juridical Sciences Alexander Andreasyan made speeches about Fridtjof Nansen.The audience watched with interest a documentary film about the great Nansen.Reciters Gayane Samvelyan and Aida Asaturyan presented episodes from the stories of Fridtjof Nansen's humanitarian philosophy and activities.
