"The heroic battle of Van Vaspurakan"

    On May 25, at the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan took place a president of "Van Vaspurakan" patriotic social organization Romik Hovnanyan's book's presentation entitled "The heroic battle of Van Vaspurakan". The event was opened with a warm word of congratulations of the deputy director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan Ruzanna Barseghyan. Historian, museologist, lieutenant colonel of the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces, cartographer Rafik Tadevosyan, member of "Van-Vaspurakan" patriotic union Robert Mirzoyan highly assessed the urgency of Romik Hovnanyan's book "Van-Vaspurakan Heroic Battle" in the field of Armenian historiography.
They stressed the significant role of the book in the spirit of the exceptional unity of the heroic people of Van, in transmitting the historical-political idea of the most powerful Heroic Battle to the Armenian generations.
The musical works of Sayat-Nova, Vache Hovsepyan, Arthur Grigoryan were performed.
David Dilanyan, Ruben Navasardyan, Vaghinak Hakobyan, Eduard Sahakyan, Arsen Chavadyan performed spiritual melodies.
At the end of the ceremony Romik Hovnanyan sent his word of gratitude to the director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan. The event was led by actress Gayane Samvelyan and she read excerpts from the book.
