In 2019 at the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Paris on November 25, 2012, a decision was made: Include the 150th anniversary of Spendiaryan's birth in the 2020-2021 calendar of important events of UNESCO famous people.
Within the framework of the events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great composer, conductor, founder of the Armenian classical symphonic music Alexander Spendiaryan, the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan and the Music Vocational School after A. Spendiaryan jointly organize events.
On April 28, a classical vocal evening was held in the hospitable hall of the Isahakyan Library with the participation of the students of the Al. Spendiaryan Music Vocational School and their dedicated teachers. At the end of the evening Ruzanna Barseghyan, Deputy Director of the Isahakyan Library, handed certificates from the library to the young singers, teachers and Classical Vocal Department.
